Due to both the luxury and practicality that it provides, the Cadillac Escalade remains one of the most popular luxury SUVs on the market today. As such, the 2018 Cadillac Escalade’s biggest competitor might just be itself, or rather, the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV.
A variant of the standard Escalade, the Cadillac Escalade ESV shares many of the same features as its original counterpart. Still, there are a number of features that separate these two luxury utility models.
Most of the features that come packaged with both the standard Cadillac Escalade and the Escalade ESV are the same. For example, both models come packaged with the advanced Cadillac User Experience interface, as well as the Bose® Centerpoint® Surround Sound system, complete with 16 speakers.
Furthermore, both the Escalade and its ESV variant produce similar amounts of power. Using the standard 6.2-liter V8 engine, the Escalade can produce 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, the same performance metrics that the Escalade ESV produces.
Cadillac Escalade Differences
While the 2018 Cadillac Escalade and the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV does share quite a lot in common, there are some major differences between the two. The most obvious of these differences is the length of the Cadillac Escalade ESV.
The standard Escalade measures a length of 203.9 inches. Meanwhile, the Escalade ESV adds onto the initial length of the Escalade, measuring a total of 224.3 inches.
That added length allows the Cadillac Escalade ESV to add some more room for cargo inside its cabin. In fact, while the standard Escalade has a total cargo volume of 15.2 cubic feet, the Escalade ESV provides drivers with a total of 39.3 cubic feet.
Passengers in the back rows of the Escalade ESV will have a bit more room to stretch out, with 39.7 inches of legroom compared to the 39 inches of rear legroom found inside the Escalade. Even the fuel tank has more volume than the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV—31 gallons versus the Escalade’s standard 26 gallons.
Whether you need more room or enjoy the smaller price tag of the standard model, there is a 2018 Cadillac Escalade waiting for you here at Bradshaw Cadillac.
